NPK Ratings

Fertilizer goes by N-P-K rating. The higher the number, the more product available in the fertilizer.

  • N=Nitrogen
  • P=Phosphate
  • K=Potassium

Nutrients

Nitrogen is needed for general plant growth. It promotes vigorous growth, greens up the plant, and helps in the uptake of other nutrients.

Phosphate is needed for early growth, root development, and seed production.

Potassium is needed to promote quality of fruit, vegetable, and grains.

Micro Nutrients

Iron is essential for the formation of chlorophyll in plants. It help plants with photosynthesis and respiration. Makes grasses green up.

Calcium is important in helping for healthy fruits. Helps overall health in plants.

Sulfur helps in nitrogen uptake. It also lowers soil Ph.
